You have a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly within the financial services sector, with experience managing teams and driving revenue growth. You understand the complexities of the payments marketplace and can advise clients on innovative solutions that enhance customer loyalty and value.

You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Your leadership style fosters a culture of accountability and high performance, motivating your team to achieve ambitious targets. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving industry, ensuring your team remains focused and aligned with organizational goals.

Desirable

Experience working with F1000 organizations is a plus, as is familiarity with modern card issuing and processing solutions. A background in embedded financial solutions will help you understand the unique needs of our clients and how to address them effectively.

What you'll do

As the Director of Sales at Marqeta, you will lead a team of 5+ Account Executives and Account Managers, focusing on acquiring and growing a portfolio of our largest and most strategic customers. You will develop and execute a strategic sales plan aimed at achieving revenue targets while expanding our customer base. Your role will involve identifying and engaging with key decision-makers across various verticals, ensuring that Marqeta's innovative financial products meet their needs.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align sales strategies with product offerings, ensuring that our solutions are effectively communicated to prospects and customers. Your insights into the shifting payments marketplace will guide your team in advising clients on potential innovations and strategies to derive increased value from their financial operations.

In this role, you will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement. You will track performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to ensure that your team meets its goals. Your leadership will be crucial in driving Marqeta's mission to transform payments and deliver exceptional value to our clients.
