Who you are

You have a strong background in account-based marketing (ABM) with a focus on the Public Sector — you understand the unique challenges and long procurement cycles that come with government buyers. Your experience allows you to develop tailored marketing strategies that align with agency missions and modernization priorities.

You are skilled in building and executing marketing plans that drive adoption and revenue in complex environments — your ability to work closely with cross-functional teams ensures that marketing programs are integrated and insight-led. You thrive in collaborative settings, partnering with sales, solutions, and customer teams to deliver impactful marketing initiatives.

You possess a deep understanding of the Public Sector landscape, including Federal Civilian, Defense, State & Local, and Education agencies — this knowledge enables you to identify and prioritize key accounts effectively. Your strategic mindset allows you to align marketing efforts with fiscal cycles and procurement timelines common to government agencies.

You are data-driven and analytical, using insights to inform your marketing strategies — your ability to measure the success of ABM programs and adjust tactics accordingly is crucial in this role. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments and can communicate effectively with various teams.

Desirable

Experience in a technology company or with software solutions for the Public Sector would be a plus — familiarity with MongoDB's offerings can enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in digital marketing tools and platforms will also be beneficial as you execute your marketing plans.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build and own a tailored marketing plan for each assigned U.S. Public Sector strategic account — you will work closely with account leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with agency missions and priorities. Your focus will be on developing highly targeted 1:1 and 1:few ABM programs that accelerate adoption and revenue.

You will identify and prioritize the most impactful marketing initiatives based on agency needs and procurement cycles — your strategic approach will help you navigate the complexities of the Public Sector landscape. You will collaborate with sales and partner teams to deliver integrated marketing programs that support large, multi-stakeholder opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing market trends and customer insights to inform your marketing strategies — you will leverage data to measure the effectiveness of your campaigns and adjust tactics as needed. You will also be responsible for managing budgets and resources effectively to maximize the impact of your marketing efforts.
