Who you are

You have a proven track record in account management, ideally with experience in the tech or video industry — you've successfully managed enterprise-level accounts and understand the nuances of customer retention and expansion. Your strong communication skills enable you to build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring they feel valued and understood.

You possess a deep technical understanding of video technologies and services — you can discuss technical details with customers and translate their needs into actionable insights for your team. Your ability to empathize with customers allows you to anticipate their challenges and proactively address them.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams — your experience in coordinating with sales, engineering, and product teams ensures that customer feedback is effectively communicated and acted upon. You are passionate about helping customers succeed and are driven by the impact of your work.

Desirable

Experience in the video streaming or technology sector is a plus — familiarity with video encoding, streaming, or monitoring services will help you hit the ground running. A background in customer success or technical account management will also be beneficial as you navigate complex customer needs.

What you'll do

As a Senior Account Manager at Mux, you will be the primary owner of retention and expansion efforts for our key enterprise video customers — your role will involve understanding their unique use cases and ensuring they derive maximum value from our products. You will create and manage relationships with our customer base, acting as their trusted advisor and advocate within Mux.

You will work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, leveraging your understanding of customer needs to drive growth. Your ability to analyze customer data and feedback will inform your strategies for improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer insights and advocate for features that enhance the user experience — your input will be crucial in shaping the future of Mux's offerings. You will also be responsible for conducting regular check-ins with customers to ensure they are satisfied and to identify any potential issues before they escalate.
