Myntra is hiring a Lead Associate in Buying & Merchandising to manage the business portfolio for Apparels. You'll be responsible for analytics, financial planning, range planning, and vendor management. This position requires 4-7 years of experience in the fashion industry.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 4-7 years of experience in the fashion industry, ideally with a background in category management. Your familiarity with market dynamics and sound business judgment allows you to make informed decisions that drive profitability. You possess strong negotiation skills and are comfortable building and sustaining networking relationships with vendors and team members alike.

You are adept at analyzing data and interpreting figures, which helps you optimize sales and manage inventory effectively. Your experience in financial analysis, including sales, margin, discount, and inventory-related analysis, equips you to forecast trends and implement sales plans that maximize profitability. You understand the importance of range planning and product-brand mapping, ensuring that the right products are available at the right time.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the business portfolio for Apparels, overseeing all aspects of the business from analytics to vendor management. You will be responsible for optimizing sales for a group of products, focusing on revenue margins and the growth of categories. Your role will involve effective planning and forecasting to maximize profitability, as well as conducting trend forecasts to implement sales plans.

You will work closely with the central planning team on option planning and open-to-buy (OTB) working, ensuring that inventory flows smoothly across the entire category. Vendor management will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will build a network of vendors and develop a strong vendor-base for the category. Your ability to manage relationships and negotiate effectively will be crucial to your success in this role.
