You have 5-7 years of experience in the fashion industry, with a strong background in category management. Your familiarity with market dynamics and sound business judgment allows you to make informed decisions that drive profitability. You possess excellent negotiation skills and are comfortable building and sustaining networking relationships with vendors and team members alike.
Your analytical skills are top-notch, enabling you to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively. You understand the importance of financial planning and are adept at managing sales, margins, and inventory for a diverse range of products. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with designers, factory operations, and sourcing teams to optimize product offerings.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage the business portfolio for ethnic wear, focusing on optimizing sales and maximizing profitability. You will be responsible for range planning, including product-brand mapping and trend forecasting, to ensure that the product offerings align with market demands. Your financial analysis skills will be crucial as you assess sales, margins, discounts, and inventory levels to inform strategic decisions.
You will lead a team of designers and operations staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency. Vendor management will be a key aspect of your role, as you will build and maintain a robust network of suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery of products. You will also work closely with the central planning team to manage inventory flow and optimize open-to-buy (OTB) processes.
