Who you are

You have experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in data-focused environments, where you've facilitated agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Your understanding of Scrum methodologies is complemented by your ability to adapt these practices to the unique challenges of Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science.

You excel in collaborating with Product Owners, Data Leads, and stakeholders to prioritize and refine backlogs, ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering high-value outcomes. Your proactive approach allows you to identify and remove impediments that hinder productivity, fostering a smooth workflow for your team.

You are skilled in monitoring sprint progress through agile metrics like velocity, throughput, and burndown charts, using these insights to drive continuous improvement. Your commitment to best practices in documentation, versioning, and data management enhances the team's efficiency and effectiveness.

You possess a strong technical background, with knowledge of agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Trello. Familiarity with data concepts, including ETL/ELT processes and relational databases like Oracle and PostgreSQL, is essential for your role. Additionally, you have a basic understanding of Python, which aids in comprehending scripts and automations used by your team.

What you'll do

In your role as a Data Scrum Master at NEORIS, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum principles while adapting to the specific needs of data projects. You will work closely with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and refine user stories, ensuring that the team is aligned with the strategic objectives of the data initiatives.

You will identify and remove any impediments that may arise during the sprint, enabling your team to maintain a high level of productivity. By monitoring sprint metrics, you will provide insights that help the team improve their processes and outcomes continuously.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will foster effective communication between technical profiles (Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists) and business areas. You will ensure that sprint objectives align with data strategy and KPIs, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

You will also participate in capacity planning and the definition of technical and functional roadmaps, helping to shape the direction of data projects within NEORIS. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the team's performance and ensuring that they deliver high-quality solutions to clients.
