Animal Care Specialist • Entry-Level

Who you are

You are passionate about animal care and welfare, with a strong understanding of husbandry and behavioral health. You have experience in implementing positive reinforcement training techniques and are familiar with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Your ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team is essential, as you will coordinate with engineers and researchers to support Neuralink's mission. You are detail-oriented and capable of performing daily health observations to ensure the wellbeing of the animals in your care.

What you'll do

As an Animal Care Specialist, you will monitor and maintain the health of animals, performing tasks such as receiving new animals, cleaning enclosures, and providing food and water. You will develop and implement behavioral intervention plans to maximize animal wellbeing, ensuring they have access to species-typical behaviors and enrichment activities. Your role will involve conducting voluntary research task sessions and collecting data to support ongoing studies while maintaining high welfare standards. You will also collaborate with team members to refine care practices and contribute to the overall success of Neuralink's research initiatives.
