Newsela is seeking a Growth Marketing Specialist to support user acquisition across its educational technology brands. You'll work closely with the growth marketing team to improve conversion rates and manage campaigns. This role requires expertise in Google Analytics, email marketing, and conversion optimization.

Who you are

You have experience in growth marketing, ideally within the educational technology sector, and are passionate about driving user acquisition. You are organized and resourceful, ready to hustle in a fast-paced environment. You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to pull data from multiple sources and maintain reporting systems effectively. You are familiar with various marketing channels, including paid media and email marketing, and understand how to optimize conversion rates from visitors to free trials and from free users to paid customers.

Desirable

Experience with influencer partnerships and organic social efforts is a plus, as is familiarity with marketing operations and campaign management. You are comfortable coordinating across multiple teams, including product, engineering, and finance, to ensure projects progress smoothly. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn and grow within the marketing field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will execute day-to-day tasks across various marketing channels, launching creative variations and updating targeting strategies to scale successful campaigns. You will coordinate with different teams to keep projects moving, tracking tasks and following up on dependencies to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Your responsibilities will include pulling data to keep dashboards current and documenting experiments and results to facilitate rapid learning within the team.

You will support marketing operations, including executing email marketing campaigns and managing partnerships with influencers and creators. Additionally, you will contribute to organic social media efforts and assist in developing presentations for leadership meetings. This role offers exposure to the full marketing stack, providing you with real opportunities to grow your expertise across paid advertising, email marketing, and conversion optimization.
