Nitra is hiring a Director of People to lead and scale their people function during a critical growth phase. You'll partner with leadership to align talent strategy with business goals and develop essential people systems. This role requires strong operational execution and strategic judgment.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in people operations, ideally in a fast-growing company, where you've successfully scaled people functions and developed high-performing teams. Your strategic judgment allows you to align talent strategies with business goals effectively, ensuring that the organization can grow sustainably. You are hands-on when necessary, demonstrating a strong operational execution capability while also being a trusted thought partner to leadership. You understand the importance of shaping company culture and talent density, and you are passionate about fostering an environment where employees can thrive.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Operations. Your experience in leading end-to-end recruiting strategies and executing core people programs, such as onboarding and performance management, has equipped you with the tools to support team effectiveness as headcount grows. You are adept at using data to inform decisions and drive improvements in people processes and tooling.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and scale the people function at Nitra during a critical phase of growth. You will partner closely with company leadership and hiring managers to align talent strategy with business goals, ensuring that the organization can build high-performing teams. You will lead the end-to-end recruiting strategy and execution, focusing on attracting top talent that aligns with Nitra's mission and values. Additionally, you will own core people programs, including onboarding, performance management, and manager enablement, to support team effectiveness as the company grows.
You will be instrumental in shaping the culture and long-term organizational health of Nitra, working to develop the systems and processes that support employee engagement and retention. Your role will require you to be hands-on where needed, providing guidance and support to managers and employees alike. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that foster a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring that all employees feel valued and empowered to contribute to Nitra's success.
