You have 4+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL at scale, and you possess solid experience with MySQL. Your expertise allows you to design, operationalize, and optimize data persistence layers that power mission-critical systems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with SRE, Platform, and Engineering teams to ensure operational excellence across database environments.

Your deep understanding of database architecture enables you to implement highly available PostgreSQL clusters, utilizing techniques such as physical and logical replication, sharding, and failover automation. You are skilled in optimizing query performance, indexing strategies, and schema design, ensuring that the databases you manage are not only functional but also efficient and resilient.

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys building resilient data infrastructure rather than merely administering it. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and your ability to automate processes contribute to the overall reliability and performance of the systems you oversee.

What you'll do
