You have 5+ years of experience in database reliability engineering, ensuring high availability and performance of datastores. Your expertise includes database maintenance, incident response, and fostering a platform mindset in a collaborative environment. You are comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams, including Site Reliability Engineers and Software Engineers, to solve complex problems.

You possess deep knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and you understand the intricacies of database-as-a-service models. Your experience includes implementing observability, automation, and disaster recovery strategies to enhance operational efficiency. You are proactive in optimizing database performance and capacity planning, ensuring that the infrastructure meets the needs of feature teams.

What you'll do

As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer at Doctolib, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our datastores. You will work closely with feature teams to empower them with the necessary database tooling, guidelines, and support to manage their databases efficiently. Your role will involve incident mitigation, where you will participate in incident response for datastore-related issues during business hours.

You will handle database infrastructure maintenance, including upgrades and performance optimization, while also focusing on cost optimization strategies. Your contributions will help foster a culture of accountability and ownership, aligning with our transition to the 'you build it, you run it' paradigm. You will collaborate with product, design, and business teams to build innovative products that improve the daily lives of care teams and patients.
