What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers, focusing on building and maintaining reliable systems that support Okta's mission of providing secure access and authentication. You will be responsible for mentoring your team, helping them grow their skills, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will advocate for security best practices, leading projects that enhance the security posture of critical infrastructure.

You will respond to production incidents, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. This involves triaging incidents, coordinating with various teams, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence. You will also work on automating processes to improve system reliability and performance, leveraging your expertise in automation tools and practices.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure that reliability is a core consideration in all projects. You will participate in design reviews and provide input on architecture decisions, ensuring that systems are built with reliability in mind. Your leadership will help shape the team's direction and priorities, aligning them with Okta's overall goals.
