You have extensive experience in site reliability engineering, demonstrating a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and cost optimization strategies. Your ability to rapidly self-educate on new concepts and tools sets you apart, allowing you to adapt to the evolving landscape of cloud technologies.
As a technical lead, you have a proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment. You understand the importance of aligning engineering and finance teams to ensure responsible cloud usage, and you are passionate about driving efficiency and scalability within the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead a specialized SRE team dedicated to designing, building, running, and monitoring cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include creating tooling and workflows that activate cloud cost optimization and managing discount strategies. You will work closely with both engineering and finance teams to ensure informed decision-making around cloud spending, directly supporting the company's efficiency goals.
You will be responsible for implementing best practices in FinOps, ensuring that the organization maintains financial accountability in its cloud usage. Your technical leadership will guide the team in developing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
