As a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience in employment law, you have a deep understanding of global employment regulations and best practices. You have a proven track record of providing strategic legal counsel to senior business leaders and HR teams, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide clear, actionable advice is a hallmark of your professional approach. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective legal strategies that support business objectives.
You possess strong leadership skills, having managed teams of attorneys and legal professionals in previous roles. Your experience includes developing legal frameworks that scale with business growth, particularly in international contexts. You are adept at communicating complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders, ensuring that all parties understand the implications of legal decisions. Your commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace aligns with OKX's core values, and you are passionate about contributing to a positive organizational culture.
Desirable
Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with employment law in multiple jurisdictions. You may also have certifications or memberships in relevant legal associations that enhance your credibility and network within the industry.
What you'll do
In your role as Deputy General Counsel for Global Employment, you will lead the company's employment law strategy, providing guidance on a wide range of workforce matters. You will collaborate with the U.S. Legal team and senior business leaders to address legal issues related to hiring, employee relations, compliance, and workforce management. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing policies that align with legal requirements and best practices, as well as overseeing the legal aspects of employee contracts and negotiations.
You will also be responsible for managing a distributed team of employment attorneys, ensuring that they are equipped to handle the legal challenges faced by a rapidly growing international business. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the organization. You will engage in proactive risk management, identifying potential legal issues before they arise and advising on strategies to mitigate those risks.
Additionally, you will represent OKX in employment-related disputes and negotiations, working to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Your role will require you to stay abreast of changes in employment law and industry trends, ensuring that the company remains compliant and competitive in the evolving landscape of employment regulations.
