OneOncology is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider to support its oncology teams in Orange City and Sanford, FL. Job Description

Who you are

You are an experienced Advanced Practice Provider with a background in hematology/oncology, either as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. You have a strong commitment to providing compassionate care for patients with cancer and blood disorders, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. You are comfortable managing follow-up visits, sick visits, and benign hematology cases, ensuring that patients receive coordinated care across various settings.

You possess the necessary board certifications (NP-C/PA-C) and have experience in outpatient and inpatient care. While experienced APPs are preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply, reflecting your openness to mentorship and growth within the field. You are willing to travel between outpatient clinics, demonstrating your flexibility and dedication to patient care.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support the oncology teams at Mid Florida Cancer Centers, providing essential care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care. Your responsibilities will include conducting inpatient rounding at two hospitals, managing follow-up visits, and addressing sick visits as they arise. You will also be involved in the management of benign hematology cases, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.

You will play a crucial role in coordinating care for patients with cancer and blood disorders, working closely with a dedicated team to provide comprehensive support. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families will be vital in ensuring that they understand their treatment plans and feel supported throughout their healthcare journey. You will also participate in call responsibilities, further emphasizing your commitment to patient care and availability.
