Overview

OpenAI is seeking a Program Manager for their Facilities Standards & Strategy team to develop and maintain technical facilities standards globally. This role requires collaboration across various teams and a strong background in facilities management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in facilities management, ideally with a focus on developing and implementing standards for large-scale projects. Your background includes working collaboratively across various teams to ensure operational excellence and a positive employee experience. You are adept at balancing multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment where you can contribute to the optimization of workplace strategies. You understand the importance of flexibility and cost-effectiveness in facilities management and are committed to creating people-centric solutions that align with organizational goals.

Desirable

Experience in real estate operations or workplace strategy is a plus, as is familiarity with analytics and construction processes. You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that facilities meet both employee needs and compliance standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and security, sets you apart as a candidate who can drive initiatives forward.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop, align, and maintain technical facilities standards globally, defining how OpenAI designs, operates, and maintains its buildings. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Design & Construction, Leasing, and Corporate Security, to ensure that all facilities meet the highest standards of safety and functionality. Your responsibilities will include overseeing large-scale collaborative projects and ensuring compliance with job posting standards. You will also be involved in optimizing the employee experience through thoughtful design and operational strategies.

You will report to the AMERs Workplace Leader and will be expected to be in the office five days a week, fostering a collaborative environment with your colleagues. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facilities management, allowing you to bring innovative ideas to the table. You will play a key role in shaping the future of OpenAI's workplace, ensuring that it supports the organization's mission of advancing artificial general intelligence.
