What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at OpenAI, you will embed deeply with strategic customers to understand their unique challenges and requirements. You will design, architect, and develop full-stack solutions using an experiment-driven, iterative approach. Your role will involve preparing detailed scopes of work and project plans for both proof-of-concept prototypes and full production deployments. You will work hands-on with customers' technical teams, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor, coding alongside them to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

You will collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers to ensure alignment and effective delivery of projects. Your insights will also be valuable to our Research and Applied Product and Engineering teams, providing feedback that can help shape future developments. Travel up to 50% may be required as you engage with customers on-site to facilitate the deployment of solutions.
