What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI, you will own the technical delivery across multiple deployments, guiding projects from the first prototype to stable production. You will build full-stack systems that not only meet customer needs but also enhance how we learn from deployments. Your role will involve scoping work, sequencing delivery, and removing blockers early to ensure smooth project execution.

You will embed closely with customer teams, understanding their unique challenges and guiding them in adopting the solutions you develop. Your contributions will include coding directly when necessary to clarify progress and ensure alignment with project goals. You will also codify working patterns into tools and playbooks that can be utilized by others in the organization, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will extend to sharing field feedback that informs research and product development, helping to shape the future of OpenAI's offerings. You will collaborate with various teams, including product, research, and partnerships, to ensure that the solutions you deliver are impactful and aligned with strategic objectives.
