Who you are
You have a strong background in technical sales or solutions engineering, ideally with experience in the public sector. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is exceptional, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can build trust with clients. You understand the unique challenges faced by government agencies and are passionate about leveraging AI to drive innovation and improve service delivery. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for AI applications and can articulate the value of OpenAI's tools to diverse audiences.
You possess a solid understanding of AI technologies and their implications for public sector organizations. Your experience includes working closely with developers and enterprises to maximize the value derived from AI models and applications. You are comfortable navigating the complexities of public policy and are committed to ensuring responsible AI adoption that aligns with societal needs. Your analytical skills enable you to assess client requirements and propose tailored solutions that address their specific challenges.
Desirable

What you'll do
As a Solutions Engineer at OpenAI, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our OpenAI for Government sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional pre-sales customer experiences by understanding client needs and demonstrating how OpenAI's tools can transform their operations. You will collaborate closely with government leaders and key stakeholders to build trust and provide the technical expertise necessary for successful AI adoption.
You will engage in discussions with clients to identify their challenges and opportunities for innovation through AI. By leveraging your technical knowledge, you will help clients envision how OpenAI's solutions can enhance service delivery and drive efficiency. You will also work alongside the sales team to prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that showcase the capabilities of our products.
Your role will involve gathering feedback from clients and relaying it to our product teams to inform future developments. You will contribute to the creation of technical documentation and resources that support the sales process and help clients understand the implementation of AI solutions.
In addition to client-facing responsibilities, you will participate in internal initiatives aimed at promoting best practices for AI deployment in the public sector. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions align with regulatory requirements and ethical considerations.
