Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the public sector, and understand the unique challenges faced by local and state governments. Your experience includes territory planning, prospect identification, and lead generation, allowing you to effectively manage the sales cycle from start to finish. You excel in building relationships and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring that clients receive the best solutions tailored to their needs.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with product-specific Account Executives and cross-functional teams, including Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Product teams. Your ability to communicate effectively and work towards common goals is essential in driving sales success. You are results-oriented and thrive in a performance-based culture where your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
What you'll do
As a Strategic Account Executive at OpenGov, you will lead the sales efforts for our multi-suite opportunities within your assigned territory. This includes conducting territory planning, identifying prospects, generating leads, and managing sales calls. You will take charge of the entire sales cycle, from proposals to contract negotiations, ensuring a smooth process that leads to successful deal closures. Your role will also involve collaborating with product-specific Account Executives to meet sales goals and deliver the highest standard of integrity and quality to our customers.
You will help drive viral growth strategies in your territory, acting as the primary territory partner across the organization. This means interacting with various cross-functional team members to align efforts and maximize impact. Your contributions will be vital in helping OpenGov achieve its mission of powering more effective and accountable government, ultimately benefiting communities across the U.S.
