You have a strong background in actuarial science and experience in analyzing network performance trends — your analytical skills enable you to evaluate provider contract terms and inform budget planning effectively. You are detail-oriented and possess the ability to build and refine analytical models that assess both historical and current performance, providing valuable insights into network-focused programs. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and are committed to shaping network strategies that align with company goals.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including strategy and pricing efforts across various Affordable Care Act (ACA) markets. Your communication skills allow you to convey complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner, ensuring that stakeholders can make informed decisions based on your insights. You are adaptable and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and accuracy.
What you'll do
As a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Oscar, you will contribute to the Actuarial team by supporting network performance analytics that drive affordability and strategic initiatives. You will analyze network-related performance trends and provider contract terms, which will inform budget planning and pricing strategies. Your role will involve building and refining analytical models that evaluate performance, ensuring that your insights help shape Oscar's network-focused programs. You will report to the Director of Actuarial and collaborate with various teams to ensure that data-driven decision-making is at the forefront of Oscar's operations.
You will also participate in team meetings and events, requiring a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office each week. Thursdays will be a mandatory in-office day for team collaboration. Your contributions will play a crucial role in guiding Oscar's overall company direction and ensuring that the organization remains focused on serving its members effectively.
