You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud infrastructure and site reliability engineering. Your expertise includes working with AWS and GCP, and you have a strong understanding of DevOps practices and principles. You are comfortable with infrastructure as code and have experience using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes to manage cloud resources effectively.

You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys optimizing systems for performance and reliability. You understand the importance of CI/CD pipelines and have experience implementing them to streamline development processes. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams ensures that you can communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools is a plus, as is familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments. You are always eager to learn new technologies and improve your skill set, and you thrive in environments that encourage innovation and experimentation.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead efforts to architect and maintain a resilient cloud infrastructure that supports Oscar's engineering teams. You will become the expert in your team's business and technical domains, focusing on cloud best practices and site reliability. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing automated, self-service infrastructure solutions that empower your colleagues to move quickly while maintaining security and stability.

You will work closely with other engineers to ensure that the foundational platform is robust and scalable. This includes leading initiatives to improve system performance, reliability, and security. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their roles. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of Oscar's engineering organization.
