Job Description
Who you are
You are a seasoned Data Scientist with a strong analytical background and at least 5 years of experience in data analysis and experimentation. You have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex A/B tests and multivariate experiments, showcasing your expertise in causal inference techniques. Your ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders across various departments makes you a strategic thought partner in driving data-driven decisions. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about mentoring junior analysts and data scientists, helping them develop their skills in causal methodologies.
Desirable
Experience with Bayesian experimentation and advanced statistical methods is a plus. Familiarity with product and business data in a tech environment will enhance your contributions to the team. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can adapt your strategies based on evolving business needs.
What you'll do
As a Staff Data Scientist at PandaDoc, you will lead the Experimentation Roadmap, defining and executing a strategic plan to measure impact across the organization. Your focus will be on high-leverage business questions related to customer workflows, churn risk, and long-term value. You will design, implement, and analyze complex experiments, ensuring that the methodologies used are robust and yield actionable insights. Your role will involve applying advanced causal inference techniques to assess the effectiveness of product changes and business strategies.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Finance, Design, Engineering, and Product Marketing teams, ensuring alignment between data insights and critical business decisions. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a data-driven culture within the organization, as you champion the importance of data in shaping strategic initiatives. You will also be responsible for training other analysts and data scientists, sharing your knowledge of causal methodologies and best practices in experimentation.
