Job Description
Who you are
You are a seasoned Data Scientist with a strong analytical background and at least 5 years of experience in data analysis and experimentation. You have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex A/B tests and multivariate experiments, and you are well-versed in advanced causal inference techniques such as difference-in-differences and propensity score matching. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, and you are passionate about driving a data-driven culture within organizations.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Finance, Design, and Engineering. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership. You are a natural leader, eager to mentor and train other analysts and data scientists on causal methodologies and best practices.
Desirable
Experience with Bayesian experimentation and advanced statistical methods is a plus. Familiarity with tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel can enhance your ability to drive insights from product data. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can adapt your strategies based on evolving business needs.
What you'll do
In your role as Staff Data Scientist at PandaDoc, you will lead the Experimentation Roadmap, defining and executing a strategic plan for measuring impact across the organization. You will focus on high-leverage business questions related to customer workflows, churn risk, and long-term value (LTV). Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and rigorously analyzing complex experiments to assess the effectiveness of proposed product changes and business levers.
You will apply advanced causal inference techniques to provide leadership with a clear understanding of true impact and causality. This involves collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment between data insights and critical business decisions. You will also champion the advancement of experimentation capabilities within the organization, fostering a culture that values data-driven decision-making.
Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest trends and methodologies in data science and experimentation, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and outcomes. You will mentor junior analysts and data scientists, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
