Overview

Parallel Fluidics, Inc. is hiring a Senior Micro Injection Molding Engineer to lead and optimize microinjection molding processes for cutting-edge microfluidic devices. This role requires hands-on experience in process development and tooling.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in micro injection molding processes, particularly in the context of manufacturing high-precision microfluidic devices. Your hands-on approach to developing and optimizing molding operations sets you apart, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work with multidisciplinary teams.

You possess a strong understanding of tooling and equipment, overseeing the design, testing, and fabrication of molds, including micro-scale tooling. Your ability to program and operate molding machines ensures that production specifications are consistently met.

Your expertise in quality control is evident through your experience conducting root cause analysis for defects and implementing corrective actions. You are proficient in utilizing metrology tools to inspect molded components, ensuring they meet precision and compliance standards.

Collaboration is key to your success; you work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to align processes with company goals. Your technical expertise supports customer inquiries and product development efforts, making you a valuable asset to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and optimize microinjection molding processes, focusing on the production of high-precision microfluidic devices. You will develop and implement protocols for material selection, tooling, and part production to ensure consistent quality across all outputs.

You will oversee the design, testing, and fabrication of molds, collaborating with external vendors and in-house teams to ensure that molds are fabricated and modified to meet production needs. Your responsibilities will also include programming and operating molding machines, ensuring they meet all production specifications.

Quality assurance will be a significant part of your role, as you will conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards. You will utilize metrology tools to inspect molded components, ensuring they comply with specifications and quality standards.

You will maintain detailed documentation of production parameters and performance metrics, which will be crucial for continuous improvement initiatives.
