Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in legal contracts, ideally with a focus on e-commerce and fintech sectors. Your background includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You are skilled in identifying and mitigating legal risks, and you have a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in India.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively liaise with local regulators and legal bodies. Your ability to maintain relationships with these stakeholders is crucial for ensuring that Paytm's operations remain compliant and aligned with business needs. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to legal risk management, ensuring that all contractual matters are handled efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the legal Contracts team, responsible for managing legal and contractual matters for One97, Paytm Money, and Paytm Payment Services Limited. You will draft, review, red-line, negotiate, and finalize various legal documents, including Banking Alliances, Corporate PSAs, promotional agreements, and distribution contracts. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all agreements are legally sound and aligned with Paytm's business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with senior legal colleagues on special projects within the e-commerce and fintech divisions, contributing to the development of strategies that mitigate legal risks. Your role will also involve staying updated on changes in regulations that may impact Paytm's operations, ensuring that the company remains compliant with local laws.
