Paytm is hiring a Senior Sales Manager to lead the EDC Retail team in Chennai. You'll drive sales of EDC machines and manage a team to enhance merchant engagement. This role requires strong networking and coaching skills.

You are a quick learner who can grasp new concepts and apply them effectively in your role.

You are capable of driving sales initiatives and have a strategic mindset that allows you to identify opportunities for growth within your assigned area. Your ability to resolve merchant queries and drive overall engagement is complemented by your strong organizational skills, enabling you to oversee day-to-day operations and monitor team performance effectively. You understand the importance of setting clear goals and deadlines, and you excel at delegating tasks to ensure that your team operates efficiently.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing the sale of EDC machines through proper channels to merchants across multiple locations. You will create an inspiring team environment, encouraging creativity and risk-taking while recognizing high performance and rewarding accomplishments. Your responsibilities will include hiring and building a capable team, setting clear team goals, and overseeing daily operations to ensure that your team meets its targets. You will monitor team performance and report on key metrics, providing coaching and support to team members as needed.

You will also be tasked with discovering training needs and organizing team-building activities to foster a collaborative culture. Your role will require extensive travel throughout your specified area to engage with merchants and drive sales initiatives. You will listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring a harmonious working environment. Your leadership will be crucial in motivating team members and driving the overall success of the EDC Retail team.
