Paytm is hiring a KAM - Team Lead for their EDC team to drive sales and manage merchant relationships. You'll leverage your B2B sales experience and negotiation skills to enhance merchant onboarding and resolve issues. This role is based in Bengaluru.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in B2B field sales, with a proven track record of identifying and meeting potential clients. Your experience includes cold calling, pre-sales, and lead generation, which has equipped you with the skills to grow and maintain a robust network of merchants. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, allowing you to effectively engage with clients and resolve any issues that arise. Your understanding of technology and user experience enables you to convey the value of Paytm's offerings to potential clients.

You are proactive and willing to physically move into micro markets to identify and sell to quality merchants. You understand the importance of minimizing risks associated with fraud and chargebacks, ensuring that the onboarding process for merchants adheres to the guidelines set by the team. As a brand ambassador for Paytm, you embody the values of staying hungry, humble, and relevant in your approach to business.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales of Paytm's devices among merchants in a specified area. This involves visiting merchants, identifying potential clients, and resolving any highlighted issues, particularly those deemed high risk. You will engage with various business and technology teams within Paytm to identify common bottlenecks, especially on the technology front, and work collaboratively to address them. Your role will also involve seeking references from converted clients to expand your network of quality merchants.

You will act as a key point of contact for merchants, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided. By leveraging your skills in sales and negotiation, you will drive the growth of Paytm's EDC business tool, helping merchants manage and grow their businesses through simplicity and data-driven technology. Your efforts will contribute to Paytm's mission of serving half a billion Indians and bringing them into the mainstream economy.
