Who you are
You have over 3 years of experience in channel and distribution sales, demonstrating a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer relationships. Your previous roles have equipped you with the skills to manage a sales team effectively, ensuring that each member is motivated and achieving their targets. You possess a good market knowledge that allows you to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Oil & Gas sector.
Your experience includes handling a sales team of at least five members, where you have successfully driven performance and earned lucrative incentives. You are proficient in Excel and other data tools, which you use to analyze sales metrics and make informed decisions. You understand the importance of distribution strategies and have a proven track record of executing them successfully.
You are a proactive individual with a zeal for growth, always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes. Your communication skills enable you to build strong relationships with customers, serving as their key point of contact throughout the sales process. You are comfortable with the responsibilities that come with being a team lead, including mentoring and guiding your team members.
Desirable
While not mandatory, a graduate or post-graduate degree would be beneficial in this role. Experience in the Dairy vertical or similar industries would also be a plus, as it would enhance your understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities in this market.
What you'll do
As the Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations within the Oil & Gas vertical at Paytm. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth by managing relationships with customers and ensuring that your team meets its targets. You will lead your team in outreach efforts, guiding them from initial lead generation through to closing sales.
You will analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve performance. Your role will involve regular reporting on sales metrics and team performance, using your Excel skills to present data in a clear and actionable format. You will also collaborate with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met and that the sales process is seamless.
In addition to managing your team, you will be expected to engage directly with key clients, building relationships that foster loyalty and repeat business. You will play a crucial role in developing training programs for your team, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their roles.
