Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience in user community management, marketing, and operations specifically in the APAC region — you've successfully built and managed community channels, understanding the nuances of local user preferences and behaviors. Your fluency in English and Chinese allows you to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, and your strong self-management skills enable you to thrive in a collaborative environment.
You possess a strong knowledge of country-specific social and community platforms — whether it's LINE, WeChat, or WhatsApp, you know how to leverage these tools to foster engagement and growth. Your intercultural sensitivity helps you adapt brand voice and messaging to resonate with different markets, ensuring that your community initiatives are both relevant and impactful.
Your proven ability to plan and scale grassroots community programs demonstrates your strategic mindset — you understand how to identify growth and retention opportunities through monitoring sentiment and engagement metrics. You are also skilled in channeling user insights into broader product and marketing strategies, making you a valuable asset to any team.
Desirable
Experience in the tech industry, particularly with AI hardware and/or software, is a plus — this background gives you a unique perspective on how to engage tech-savvy communities. Proficiency in Japanese and/or Korean would further enhance your ability to connect with diverse user segments, and previous involvement in building local ambassador or moderator programs showcases your leadership capabilities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will build and manage community channels across APAC, utilizing regionally preferred platforms to engage users effectively. You will monitor sentiment and engagement metrics to identify growth and retention opportunities, ensuring that the community remains vibrant and active. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing localized content, events, and campaigns tailored to different local user segments, which will require a deep understanding of cultural preferences and behaviors.
You will identify, recruit, and collaborate with local brand ambassadors and advocates to scale community impact — your ability to foster relationships will be key in amplifying the community's voice. Additionally, you will localize global campaigns to align with market-specific tones, ensuring that messaging resonates with users in each region.
