Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience in user community management, marketing, and operations specifically in the APAC region — you've successfully built and managed community channels using regionally preferred platforms such as LINE, WeChat, and WhatsApp. Your fluency in English and Chinese allows you to communicate effectively with diverse user segments, and your strong knowledge of country-specific social platforms enables you to tailor strategies that resonate with local audiences.
Your self-management ability and cross-functional collaboration skills are exceptional — you thrive in environments where you can channel user insights into broader product, growth, and go-to-market strategies. You have a proven ability to plan and scale grassroots community programs, demonstrating your capacity to engage users and foster community growth.
You possess intercultural sensitivity and can adapt brand voice for different markets — this skill is crucial in localizing global campaigns to align with market-specific tones, behaviors, and cultural preferences. Your experience in the tech industry, particularly with AI hardware and/or software, gives you a unique perspective on community engagement in a rapidly evolving field.
Desirable
Proficiency in Japanese and/or Korean is a plus, as it enhances your ability to connect with a broader audience in the APAC region. Previous involvement in building local ambassador or moderator programs showcases your initiative and leadership in community management. Familiarity with regional data privacy regulations, such as PDPA in Singapore and PIPL in China, is also beneficial for ensuring compliance in your community operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will build and manage community channels across APAC, utilizing platforms like LINE, WeChat, WhatsApp, Telegram, KakaoTalk, and Facebook Groups. You will monitor sentiment, engagement metrics, and overall community health to identify growth and retention opportunities. Your insights will be crucial in channeling user feedback into broader product, growth, and go-to-market strategies.
You will design and execute localized content, events, and campaigns tailored to different local user segments — this involves collaborating with local brand ambassadors and advocates to scale community impact effectively. Your ability to localize global campaigns will ensure that they resonate with the specific cultural preferences of each market.
What we offer
At Plaud, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and community engagement.
