Who you are

You are an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in payment partnerships, particularly in the LatAm region. With over 5 years of experience in managing strategic relationships, you have a proven track record of developing and maintaining partnerships with key players in the payments industry, including international schemes like Visa and Mastercard. You possess deep expertise in the cards and local payments markets, enabling you to navigate complex commercial landscapes effectively.

Your leadership style is collaborative and empowering, as you will be managing a team of five. You excel at coaching and mentoring your team members to achieve peak performance while driving commercial outcomes. You are a problem solver who leverages PPRO's reputation and resources to build a unique payment network that addresses challenges in the market.

You thrive in a diverse environment, working alongside team members from various backgrounds and cultures. Your ability to communicate effectively with global teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Compliance, is essential for developing and implementing comprehensive payment strategies. You are open-minded and adaptable, ready to embrace PPRO's internal mission of innovation and customer-centricity.

Desirable

Experience in the fintech sector or with local payment methods in Latin America is a plus. Familiarity with the latest trends in payment technology and a network of contacts within the industry will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

What you'll do

As the Director of Strategic Payment Partnerships, you will oversee all payment partnerships in the LatAm region, driving commercial outcomes and ensuring the success of your team. You will be responsible for developing new commercial relationships with payment methods while maintaining and growing existing partnerships. Your role will involve direct engagement with key stakeholders, including partners like Ant Group, PayPal, and Stripe, to facilitate their access to new markets and accelerate their growth.

You will collaborate closely with global teams to align payment strategies with PPRO's overall mission of simplifying access to local payment methods. This includes working with Product and Engineering teams to ensure that the payment solutions offered meet the needs of partners and customers alike. You will also engage with Sales and Account Management teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in existing partnerships.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing market trends and customer needs to inform partnership strategies, as well as coaching your team to develop their skills and capabilities in managing payment relationships. You will be expected to drive initiatives that enhance PPRO's reputation in the market and contribute to the company's overall success.
