Job Description
Who you are
You have over 10 years of experience in Datawarehouse and Analytics Systems development, showcasing your technical and analytical skills. Your background includes IT systems and engineering, with a strong focus on security and compliance. You have managed teams of Data Engineers and Data Analysts, demonstrating your leadership capabilities in a professional services environment. With at least 5 years of experience in modern data warehousing architecture, you are well-versed in Big Data and Cloud technologies. You are a self-starter, motivated to drive high performance from your team while ensuring customer success.
Your expertise extends to large-scale design and implementation of OLTP, OLAP, and NoSQL data storage technologies. You are proficient in SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, RedisCache, Azure Data Lake Store, Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, Neo4j, Cassandra, and HBase. You are familiar with agile development processes, including Scrum and Kanban, and have a solid understanding of CI/CD concepts.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate with APJ customers and the wider Rackspace organization to rethink and redesign data landscapes using cloud-native technologies. You will lead architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success while migrating existing data applications to AWS or Azure. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering innovative Proof of Concepts for customers, enhancing delivery capabilities across the APJ Data delivery teams, and mentoring other architects and engineers within the Rackspace community.
You will conduct workshops, ideation, and strategy sessions to help customers solve their business use cases with innovative technology solutions. Your role will require you to implement projects and refine specifications in collaboration with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Architects. You will be instrumental in driving the adoption of modern Big Data and cloud-native Data Technologies across the organization.
