Who you are
You have a strong background in data center operations, with experience managing and prioritizing repair efforts for hardware and network issues. You are comfortable performing initial troubleshooting and escalating problems when necessary, ensuring that the infrastructure meets the demands of a large-scale platform. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside senior engineers to tackle complex challenges and contribute to the growth of the Core/Edge Data Centers.
You possess excellent organizational skills, allowing you to effectively manage your ticket queue according to defined priorities. Your attention to detail ensures that you maintain the Core Data Center and hardware infrastructure to meet real-time requirements. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and are committed to delivering a seamless experience for users.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Engineer at Roblox, you will independently manage and prioritize host repair efforts across multiple datacenters. Your role involves performing initial troubleshooting for ambiguous hardware and network issues, ensuring that any problems are escalated clearly when they fall outside standard procedures. You will own well-defined projects with guidance from senior engineers, contributing to the scaling of our Core/Edge Data Centers and hardware infrastructure during a period of significant growth.
You will collaborate closely with your team to maintain the Core Data Center infrastructure, ensuring it meets the large-scale and real-time requirements of our Imagination Platformβ’. Your work will directly impact the experience of millions of users around the world, as you help create safer and more civil shared experiences. You will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and develop your skills in a supportive environment.
