Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and are passionate about the Internet of Things (IoT). Your experience includes engaging with small to medium-sized businesses, where you've successfully navigated complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders. You thrive in high-energy environments and are motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible impact on industries that are crucial to our economy.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate the benefits of IoT solutions effectively to diverse audiences, including owners, safety managers, and operational leaders. Your ability to build rapport and trust with clients is a key strength, enabling you to foster long-term relationships that drive business growth. You are results-oriented and enjoy the challenge of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Desirable
Experience in the IoT or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with sensor data applications. A background in industries such as agriculture, construction, or transportation can provide valuable insights into customer needs and challenges. You are adaptable and open to learning about new technologies and market trends that can enhance your sales strategy.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to small and medium-sized customers. This includes identifying potential clients, conducting outreach, and presenting tailored solutions that meet their operational needs. You will engage in proof of concept discussions, negotiate pricing, and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth sales process.
You will collaborate with the marketing and product teams to understand the latest offerings and how they can benefit your clients. Your role will involve regular follow-ups with prospects and existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services. You will also track your sales activities and results, providing regular updates to management on your progress and insights into market trends.
