Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with sales processes that involve proof of concepts and multi-faceted pricing negotiations will set you apart. You should be comfortable working with various stakeholders, including owners and operational managers, to demonstrate the value of our solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving Samsara's business growth by selling IoT solutions to small and medium-sized customers. You will engage with potential clients, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions that highlight the benefits of our sensor data. Your typical sales will range from $5k to $20k, and you will manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that our solutions are effectively implemented.
You will also be involved in conducting proof of concepts to showcase the capabilities of our products. This will require you to collaborate with technical teams to ensure that demonstrations are impactful and relevant to the customer's operations. You will negotiate pricing and terms with clients, ensuring that both parties reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
As part of your role, you will track your sales activities and report on your progress to management. You will set personal sales goals and work diligently to achieve them, contributing to the overall success of the company. You will also stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position Samsara's solutions in the market.
