sennder is hiring a Senior Carrier Representative to build contractual relationships and negotiate with carriers in the Capacity department. This role is based in Barcelona and focuses on revolutionizing road freight logistics.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in logistics and carrier management, with experience in building and maintaining relationships with carriers. Your ability to negotiate and communicate effectively allows you to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact on the logistics industry. You are proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

You possess critical thinking skills that enable you to analyze situations and make informed decisions. Your experience in supply chain solutions supports customer go-to-market strategies, and you are comfortable conducting research to identify new carrier opportunities. You are a team player who values collaboration and diversity, contributing to a positive work environment.

What you'll do

In this key position, you will spend the majority of your time building contractual relationships and negotiating spot market commitments with carriers. You will be responsible for calling carriers based on interest generated from our customers, providing day-to-day status updates, and identifying issues that may arise. Your role will involve applying trucks to loads in both contractual and transactional commitments, with specific responsibilities varying depending on the assignment.

You will develop supply chain solutions that effectively support our customer go-to-market strategy, resolving problems by identifying issues and seeking input from others to determine the best course of action. Your ability to maintain and grow relationships with carrier accounts will be crucial, as you will identify opportunities for additional collaboration and research new carriers in the marketplace to generate leads and build new relationships.
