What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for Skyscanner's Stargate team, you will lead a product-facing squad responsible for the web login and authentication journey. Your role involves setting the strategic direction for the team, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's vision of becoming the world's number one travel ally. You will work closely with product managers and designers to prioritize features and improvements that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
You will facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Your focus will be on creating clarity and momentum within the team, helping them navigate trade-offs and make informed decisions. You will also be responsible for performance management, conducting regular one-on-ones with team members to provide feedback and support their development.
In addition to managing the team, you will collaborate with other engineering managers to share best practices and drive process improvements across the organization. You will play a key role in hiring and building a diverse team of engineers, ensuring that Skyscanner continues to attract top talent in the industry.
