Who you are
You are a developed sales professional with a strong background in enterprise sales, ideally with over 5 years of experience in a similar role. You have a history of exceeding sales quotas and successfully acquiring new customer accounts, demonstrating your ability to drive business growth. Your consultative approach allows you to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with partners and internal teams to maximize opportunities and deliver exceptional results.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to conduct discovery calls and engage effectively with potential clients. Your ability to qualify and prioritize leads with urgency ensures that you create opportunities and generate a robust sales pipeline. You are proactive in your outreach efforts, utilizing multithreading strategies to connect with various stakeholders and drive engagement. You are comfortable navigating complex sales processes and are adept at managing relationships with both new and existing partners.
Desirable
Experience in the software industry is a plus, as is familiarity with sales methodologies and CRM tools such as Salesforce. You are data-driven, using analytics to inform your sales strategies and decision-making processes. A background in consulting or working with resellers can enhance your effectiveness in this role, allowing you to leverage existing relationships to foster growth.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new logos for Smartsheet and exceeding software and services sales quotas. You will work closely with existing partners and new partners, including consulting firms, system integrators, and resellers, to maximize sales opportunities. Your primary focus will be on qualifying inbound leads and creating a sense of urgency to drive the sales process forward. You will proactively prospect through warm leads and engage in consistent outreach to ensure business growth.
You will conduct discovery calls with potential customers, acting as a consultant to understand their needs and challenges. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be essential in developing long-term relationships with clients. You will collaborate with the Japan Country Manager and other team members to align sales strategies with overall revenue goals, ensuring that your efforts contribute to the company's success.
