Your expertise includes securities law compliance and corporate governance, allowing you to provide effective solutions-based counseling to various internal clients. You have a strong understanding of the complexities involved in corporate transactions and are adept at negotiating agreements that align with business objectives. Your in-house counsel experience is a significant asset, as it equips you with the practical knowledge necessary to navigate the intricacies of corporate legal matters. You are also capable of registering as in-house counsel in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

What you'll do

As a Corporate Counsel at SpaceX, you will own securities law compliance and corporate governance matters, providing legal guidance to internal clients on a wide range of complex issues. You will modernize board processes and governance policies, ensuring that they align with current best practices and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to address matters related to internal controls and audit compliance, which are critical for maintaining the integrity of the company's financial operations.

You will manage securities offerings, stock financings, and resales of restricted securities, playing a key role in stockholder relations matters. Advising on equity compensation matters will also be part of your responsibilities, as you will oversee the administration of multiple equity incentive plans, including stock options, RSUs, and restricted stock awards. Your negotiation skills will be put to the test as you work closely with the company’s in-house finance team to negotiate corporate transactions that support SpaceX's strategic objectives.
