SpaceX is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide legal guidance on corporate transactions and strategic investments. You'll support various internal teams and manage corporate legal affairs. This role requires a JD and 5+ years of corporate law experience.

Who you are
You are a seasoned legal professional with a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and over 5 years of corporate law experience. Your background includes in-house counsel experience, and you have the ability to register as in-house counsel in California. You have a strong understanding of corporate transactions and the legal intricacies involved in them. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with finance and engineering teams to navigate complex legal and business issues. Your experience at a top-tier law firm has equipped you with the skills necessary to draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements. You are adept at managing corporate legal affairs both domestically and internationally, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulatory expectations.
Desirable
You have a proactive approach to legal challenges and enjoy educating internal teams on legal standards. Your ability to devise creative solutions to legal risks makes you a trusted advisor within the organization. You are committed to fostering strong relationships across various business teams, enhancing collaboration and understanding of legal implications in business decisions.
What you'll do
As a Corporate Counsel at SpaceX, you will take ownership of all legal aspects of corporate transactions, including legal diligence, negotiation, deal execution, and integration planning. You will draft and implement transaction playbooks and integration checklists to streamline processes. Your role will involve managing the company’s and its subsidiaries’ corporate legal affairs, ensuring that all legal requirements are met. You will collaborate with the stock administration team on employee stock plan documents and related communications, providing legal support to enhance employee engagement and compliance. Additionally, you will support training efforts to educate internal teams on legal standards and regulatory expectations, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization. You will work cross-functionally with business teams to analyze legal risks and develop strong, trusted advisor relationships, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business strategies.
