SpaceX is hiring a Senior Power Systems Engineer for the Starship Avionics team to provide engineering expertise in the design and testing of power converters for space applications. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience in power converter development.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of experience in power converter development, particularly in harsh environments. Your expertise includes design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters, and you are comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative power electronics hardware. You are passionate about space exploration and eager to contribute to the mission of making humanity multi-planetary.
What you'll do
As a Senior Power Systems Engineer on the Starship Avionics team, you will provide engineering expertise in the design and analysis of electrical power systems. You will work on the development of power converters, ensuring they meet the rigorous requirements for space applications. Your responsibilities will include defining and performing verification testing and analysis of electrical power systems, collaborating with design, test, and production engineers to create cutting-edge power electronics hardware.
