SpaceX is hiring a Supervisor, Quality Assurance (Valves) to lead a team of inspectors and CMM programmers. You'll manage quality assurance activities across various programs including Falcon, Dragon, and Starship. This role requires strong leadership and quality assurance skills.

Who you are

You have experience in quality assurance and a strong background in managing teams — you've successfully led quality assurance efforts in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Your ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation is second nature to you, allowing you to guide your team effectively. You understand the importance of maintaining high standards in quality assurance processes and are committed to continuous improvement. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate with production leaders and engineering teams to drive efficiencies and improvements.

You are adept at implementing training and certifications for your team, ensuring they remain highly skilled and flexible in a fast-paced environment. Your experience includes overseeing critical characteristic control within production processes, and you are familiar with establishing necessary equipment and layout requirements. You are proactive in monitoring labor hours and implementing improvement plans to optimize team performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of inspectors and CMM programmers, providing direction and support to ensure all partner teams are effectively supported. You will supervise the completion of quality assurance activities, utilizing SpaceX processes and systems to maintain high standards. Your responsibilities will include scheduling and managing your team, as well as overseeing the maintenance of tooling and consumable supply inventory. You will work closely with production leaders to identify areas for improvement and drive efficiencies across programs.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and align on improvement projects, ensuring that quality assurance practices are integrated into the production process. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team. You will also be responsible for implementing training programs to enhance the skills of your team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of a constantly changing environment.
