Who you are
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of experience with structures, avionics, propulsion, or automotive hardware installation. You possess strong mechanical assembly skills and are familiar with avionics integration. Your hands-on experience with both large and small mechanical assemblies makes you a great fit for this role. You are detail-oriented and ensure that all work is performed according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions. You are committed to product quality and conformance to specifications, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can support troubleshooting of hardware issues in real-time.
What you'll do
As an Integration Technician, you will be responsible for staging, setting up, assembling, testing, and installing satellite flight hardware. You will use various mechanical and precision-calibrated tools, including automated and manual torque wrenches, to perform your tasks. Your role will involve hands-on operations with both large and small mechanical assemblies, ensuring that all production services are performed on time, safely, and professionally. You will collaborate with production engineers to develop and document activities, and you will provide feedback to eliminate repeat issues during the troubleshooting process. Your contributions will be vital in building and testing the final satellite assemblies, playing a key role in SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
