Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Integration & Test Specialist for their Satellite Test team to support the production of Starlink satellites. You'll be responsible for testing satellites and evaluating test failures in Redmond, WA.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and are eager to start your career in the aerospace industry. You possess a keen interest in satellite technology and are motivated to contribute to the production of Starlink satellites. You are detail-oriented and capable of interpreting test logs and telemetry to assess non-conforming hardware. You are proactive in identifying issues and driving resolutions, ensuring that production processes are efficient and effective.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to the challenges of working on cutting-edge technology. You have a collaborative spirit and are willing to learn from experienced technicians and engineers. You are committed to safety and quality, always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

Desirable

Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment would be beneficial, as would familiarity with assembly fixtures and shop aides. Any background in training or mentoring others would also be a plus, as you will be involved in providing training to production technicians on new or updated processes.

What you'll do

As an Integration & Test Specialist, you will be responsible for the first level triage of test failures, which involves reading and interpreting test logs and telemetry. You will assess non-conforming hardware and drive resolution and preventative actions to ensure that production standards are met. Your role will also include designing and implementing assembly fixtures and shop aides to improve the manufacturing process, which is critical for the efficiency of satellite production.

You will identify and implement changes to design, process, safety, and floor layout to enhance yield, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Implementing standard practices, troubleshooting guides, and standard repair procedures will be part of your daily tasks. You will also create and support equipment maintenance and calibration schedules, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally.

In addition, you will perform process development and validation on new designs, working under extremely aggressive timelines. Your contributions will directly impact the production of Starlink satellites, making you an integral part of the team that is revolutionizing broadband internet access worldwide.
