Who you are

You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and building systems that support critical operations. You thrive in an aggressive, results-focused environment where your skills are put to the test daily. You are adept at cradle-to-grave project ownership, from hosting design reviews to coordinating construction efforts. Your expertise includes designing modular hardware capable of being manufactured at volume, ensuring that your designs can be implemented across various launch and test sites globally. You possess interdisciplinary engineering skills that allow you to tackle complex challenges in system-level process design and initial sizing.

Desirable

Experience with large structural weldments and precision-machined parts is a plus. Familiarity with cryogenic systems and their applications in rocket testing will set you apart. You are a proactive problem solver, always looking for clever solutions to meet the demands of a fast-evolving launch program.

What you'll do

As a Launch Engineer, Mechanical at SpaceX, you will analyze, design, and build mechanical systems that support rocket launches and testing. You will take ownership of projects from conception through execution, ensuring that your designs meet the rigorous standards required for space exploration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of our launch systems.
