SpaceX is hiring a Materials R&D Technician to support lab operations and material process developments. The role requires hands-on lab experience and a collaborative attitude.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented individual with hands-on lab experience, capable of setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment. While a basic understanding of material science fundamentals is preferred, your ability to work flexibly and collaboratively is essential. You thrive in organized environments and are committed to maintaining safety and efficiency in lab operations. Your can-do attitude and quick learning ability make you an ideal candidate for this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support daily lab operations, focusing on material and process developments, failure investigations, and process control validation. You will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating lab instrumentation, summarizing data, and documenting results in an organized manner. You will manage lab backlogs and ensure that requests are prioritized according to program needs. Additionally, you will champion lab improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
