Formlabs is hiring a Materials Technician to support materials development and execute materials characterization testing. You'll work closely with scientists and engineers in Boston. This role requires at least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.

Who you are
You have at least one year of relevant laboratory or material characterization working experience — you understand the importance of meticulous documentation and are safety-conscious, ready to actively promote safe behavior and lab operations. You are efficient in documenting, analyzing, and sharing data, and you thrive in a self-directed environment where you can prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.
You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team of diverse scientists and engineers. Your hands-on approach to problem-solving and your ability to communicate effectively with your team will help you succeed in this role. Bonus points if you have experience with mechanical characterization of polymers or plastics, chemical wet lab or analytical lab experience, or familiarity with 3D printing.
What you'll do
As a Materials Technician at Formlabs, you will reliably execute materials characterization testing while maintaining meticulous documentation of your findings. You will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to carry out experiments that support materials development, ensuring that the results meet the needs of our customers. Your role will involve effectively communicating status updates and results to the team, contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.
You will maintain a safe and organized workspace, promoting best practices in lab operations. Your contributions will help expand our user base and branch out into new applications within the rapidly growing 3D printing industry. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to reinventing the industry and bringing groundbreaking professional 3D printers to the desktop of every designer, engineer, researcher, and artist in the world.
What we offer

The annual base pay for this role is between $55,000 and $60,000 USD, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and expected impact on the organization.
