Who you are
You have at least one year of relevant laboratory or material characterization working experience — you are safety-conscious and ready to actively promote safe behavior and lab operations. You efficiently document, analyze, and share data, and you are able to work in a self-directed environment to prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner. Your hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail make you a perfect fit for our materials science team.
Desirable
Experience with mechanical characterization of polymers or plastics would be a bonus, as well as any chemical wet lab or analytical lab experience. Familiarity with 3D printing processes and materials will also set you apart as a candidate who can contribute to our innovative projects.
What you'll do
As a Materials Technician at Formlabs, you will reliably execute materials characterization testing while maintaining meticulous documentation of your findings. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to carry out experiments that support materials development. Your role will involve effectively communicating status updates and results to the team, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals and progress. You will also maintain a safe and organized workspace, contributing to a culture of safety and efficiency in the lab.
