Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in tooling maintenance, particularly with composites, and possess a strong understanding of precision tools and machines. Your background includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance on custom tooling, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak efficiency. You are skilled in inspecting and analyzing tools per engineering requirements, and you have a knack for maintaining and repairing advanced structures, including custom friction stir welding machines and high-capacity test stands.
You are adept at planning work and determining methods and sequences of operations based on tool design drawings or your own designs. Your fabrication skills allow you to lay out, fabricate, and assemble a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, and tooling, all while adhering to exacting tolerances and dimensional features. You are also experienced in developing and designing holding devices, jigs, and fixture details, and you are comfortable suggesting design changes that enhance practicability and manufacturing processes.
Your technical expertise extends to setting up and operating optical instruments to check alignment and fit, ensuring that all tooling meets the highest standards of quality. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of aerospace technology.
Desirable
Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and a background in aerospace or automotive industries would be beneficial. Familiarity with CAD software and a strong understanding of mechanical operations will set you apart in this role.
What you'll do

Your expertise will be essential in laying out, fabricating, and assembling a variety of jigs, fixtures, and tooling that require precise dimensional features and reference points.
